There is currently a project underway to edge all the grassed areas with rocks to prevent campers driving over and camping on the grass. We are working as a group to collect rocks from the nearby quarry and then place them around the Station. It is amazing what a difference it makes and the place is starting to look really tidy with the camping areas clearly marked.
Col and I went for a bit of a walk around the Station and took some photos of the old shearing quarters. Lou, I thought of you when we went in here thought you would appreciate these!
In the evening the Giralia Station Crew got together for a yummy butter chicken dinner that Kate had made. Unfortunately Jen isn’t in the photo below but starting from the front left is Indya, James, Joyce, Kate, John, Denver and Col. Col and I made our Chapati’s and a Raita out of the homemade yoghurt and both turned out really well. It was a great night and we are going to do a shared curry night next Monday night.
Good job with paths ,so nice to have paths that lead you to where you want to go ,loojs great .
Amazing what a few rocks and logs can do to tidy up the place. Im a fan of this for sure. Interesting to learn there are more camp hosts arriving all the time. It must be quite busy. xxx
I agree, looks so much better.
It is actually fairly quiet still and it is unusual to have so many camp hosts at one time. But it has worked out really well as we all get along and have enjoyed doing the project stuff. x
