So very early in the morning my door creaked open and a hand slid through holding a phone that was playing “I like long build ups and disappointing drops”. A very annoying song that is kind of catchy and gets stuck in your head. It has been a long standing joke with Sam, my son, and so this was how he decided to wake me up at the crack of dawn. Luckily he made up for it by getting me breakfast in bed (sorry for the crappy photo but it was the best I could do, and kind of cute that Franklin wanted in on it too).
I was super excited to go and visit my other georgeous Grandson and kids today. Sam my son came with me and we headed to Chris and Bree’s house to see them and little Connor. Again I was really nervous as it would break my heart if Connor didn’t recognise me or was hesitant. But I heard him come running up the hall and he ran outside and jumped up into my arms for a huge hug. So relieved and so happy to see them all.
We chilled out there for while, colouring in with Connor and playing games. Then we headed around the corner to Lollipops, an indoor playground Cafe. This place is great! It is in Happy Valley in SA and really resonably priced. The food was also good value and really yummy. Great equipment for kids and catered for all ages. They even had a big car ride that ran at inntervals through the day and they didn’t charge any extra to go on. Anyway, I was really impressed with it and so was Connor. So if you are looking for somewhere to take your kids/grand-kids, I would recommend it.
From there I met up with Erin and we went to pick up Haim from child care and headed to a playground for a while. It was fantastic to see where Haim goes most days and he gave me the grand tour of the place. I was impressed with the playground too, they have come along way since my kids were little. It was one in the city and there were all sorts of water fun for the kids, icluding toys as well. I had taken my kids to that park when they were little, so good to see what the council has done with it (nice work Steve!!).
From there we headed to Jemma and Ryan’s house for dinner and all my kids and their partners were there too. Love those nights. We used to have family dinner once a week and it was a board game fest, I have definitely missed those nights while away and it was great to be all together again.
have you heard of the board game ” sequence ” i played it in NZ its quite good
